Gingerbread Houses

Okay, these aren't actually made of gingerbread; they're graham crackers, but the idea is the same. These are from my trip with Amaya to visit a friend in Massachusetts. There were PLENTY of other things I wanted to take pictures of, but forgot to bring my camera... This was more of an excuse to play around with the camera than anything. Some of these turned out okay, but some of them are either out of focus or blurry (even though I made my shutter speed faster).

Amaya built a nice tower that came crumbling down... She wasn't too happy about it.

A pile of graham crackers covered in white icing and licorice is strewn about. A frowny face is drawn over the rubble. Gummy bears lay underneath.

The same pile of rubble above, but from the side. You get a slightly better view of the gummy bears, but they're out of focus. Honestly, this picture kinda sucks.

Fable made An American Christmas, where three kids are playing on the roof while their parents and CPS view the mayhem.

Lines of Dots (the candy) lead up to the graham cracker house. Three gummy bears sit atop it, while several onlookers are off to the side.

The three gummy bears atop the house, playing "dangerously." The living room in the background is blurred.

Two of the gummy bears stand on the bow of the roof. The onlookers are seen in the background, but are blurred.

An attempt at using the two gummy bears on the roof to frame one of the onlookers. My hand wasn't steady while taking the picture, so it's a bit blurry.

Janelle (Fable's wife) made a tower with gummy bears all over it. I don't remember the lore we came up with, but we joked the ones at the top were close to jumping off. Admittedly, I didn't get as nice of a picture of hers (if you can call these good).

A tower made of graham crackers, white icing, licorice, and gummy bears sits atop a paper plate. It has a larger base with the head of a chocolate Santa on the side. Atop that base is a longer and thinner portion lined with licorice. Gummy bears sit precariously on the top. Amaya photobombs in the background.

The tower described in the previous image, but head-on. Nothing super interesting about this photo beyond the content.

Finally, mine. I went in with an idea that I'd build something complicated, but fumbled my way into this mess. Not pictured is the metric ton of icing I needed to glue the back part of the house together. No interesting lore, just a house. There was more initially, but I snacked on it before taking this picture.

A humble gingerbread house. A Ghirardelli chocolate square acts as the front door. Two gummy bears stand on the second floor underneath the roof.
