Learning the Hard Way
For the life of me, I can't learn anything the easy way. It doesn't matter how many times I read it or how many times someone tells me, I need to suffer to get it through my thick skull. This usually involves one or more of the following:
- diving deep into the task/concept at hand, dealing with every nitty-gritty detail
- fucking something up real bad, especially when I should have known better
- realizing what I should have done by the time it's too late
The worst part is that I'm always falling into those categories. No matter how much I learn, I still take too long to figure something out, or royally mess it up before fixing it.
