Stop using AI to write
With maybe one exception, stop using AI to write. If your goal is to inform or persuade, relying on AI entirely will muddy your point. AI writing I encounter tends to have one or more of these problems:
- it's too long
- there's no obvious train of thought the author is trying to lead you along
- the thing I need to pull out of it is buried within walls of useless text
If your reason for relying on AI is insecurity, embrace that feeling. It is far easier to have a conversation when your intentions and knowledge on the subject are clear. That includes any gaps or imperfections.
If your reason is laziness, that's fine too: just send me your prompt. I'd much rather wade through a small amount of text for a half-baked idea than an ocean of it.
